Who is Gabe?
Gabe Eggerling is quickly making a name for himself with buzz-worthy acting roles and philanthropic contributions. Gabe stars as “Bailey Burke” in Amazon's original series The Kicks. The family centered soccer comedy is based on World Cup woman's soccer champion and Olympic gold medalist Alex Morgan's book series. He also voiced the title role of “Captain Jake” in Disney Jr’s Captain Jake and the Neverland Pirates, along with lending his voice to Sofia the First and Whisker Haven Palace Pets for Disney Jr. He began developing his acting chops at the age of seven, performing comedy skits routinely on TBS’s Conan.
On the big screen, the versatile actor completed a lead role in the feature film The League of Legend Keepers, due to release Fall 2019. Television credits include Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Sam & Cat, ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat and TV Land’s Lopez. He also voiced the lead in the animated film Trick or Treaters based on Tomi Ungerer’s children’s book, The Three Robbers, as well as Santa’s Apprentice.
Off screen, Gabe is an avid reader, a member of Mensa and NHS, and accepted into John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth program. He has partnered with Learning Ally and Princeton to record audio books Paperboy and Wonder, which earned him a 2017 nomination at the Voice Arts Awards. He started his own literacy charity when he turned seven and his very first book drive was with the help of Milk + Bookies. Gabe will have the honor of being featured alongside luminaries such as First Lady Michelle Obama, Malala, Jeff Bridges and Elton John in renowned photographer, John Russo's February 2019 charity book "100 Making A Difference"; which highlights how they are changing the world through their philanthropy.
In 2016, Gabe received a nomination for Tiger Beat’s “19 Under 19”. In 2014, Gabe was honored to accept the Hasbro Community Action Hero Award from GenerationOn, and has been a celebrity ambassador since. He was extremely proud to accept an invitation to speak for TEDx about storytelling and philanthropy, and has received recognition for his work as a young member of the SAG Foundation Literary Initiative, BookPALS. He also accepted the SAG Looking Ahead 2015 Leadership award voted by his peers in the industry.
Wright Brothers Pictures released a film documentary “Heroes Don’t Wear Capes” which highlighted Gabe’s literacy non- profit efforts after he returned from Guatemala, partnering with Roma Boots to add literacy to boot drops in the villages. After receiving the Points of Light Presidential Award, he was invited as a featured speaker at the Future Forward Closing Plenary as a youth disruptor for the World Unite Points of Light Conference, alongside Neil Bush, Kenna and Chef Jose Andres.
Gabe has collaborated with Rainn Wilson’s Soul Pancake to produce content for a National Hunger Campaign in conjunction with ConAgra, and is currently working as a celebrity Ambassador for No Kid Hungry.
Gabe is proud to be a member of the first teen improv group to graduate from Upright Citizen’s Brigade. Remaining a kid at heart, he enjoys tennis, photography, playing drums and performing at House of Blues and is currently writing a children’s book series and music for an EP.
